Another round of Ten Second Reviews? Okay!

“King’s Quest”

kingsquest

King’s Quest property of Sierra

Super fun reboot of a series that was super fun back in the day, too. I love me some point-and-click adventure puzzle nonsense, with puns. Go to there.

“The Art of Asking” by Amanda Palmer

The Art of Asking published by Piatkus

This book changed my life. I wish I had read it when I was 16. But since I didn’t I will just have to keep on making up for the time I lost being afraid to ask for things: for help, for love, for care, for support in my weirdness. Part autobiography, part advice, this book is well worth your time.

“Rising Strong” by Brené Brown

Rising Strong published by Spiegel & Grau

Our Lady of Vulnerability has knocked another one out of the park with a book on how to get back up when you fall down or—in other words—how to survive when you’re being vulnerable and it all goes pear shaped. Read it.

“Interstellar”

I actually really liked this movie, despite hearing mixed reviews about it. It has all the aspects of a weird ’80s sci-fi movie, plus Matthew Mcabsahey. It was sort of like watching “2001” minus the weird fetus action. One could argue it was slowly paced, but I didn’t find it unpleasant to watch, especially considering I was at home and could pee anytime I wanted.

“Eternal Highlander”

We read this for Pancake Sex Book Club. Don’t read it. Read any other book.
